Job Description:

As an Apprentice Business Administrator you will be trained to:

  • Manage day to day payroll administration
  • Upload Pension contributions files to pension providers and prepare remittance
  • Send pension letters and files to clients
  • Create self-service logins & password resets
  • Send files to HMRC (FPS & EPS)
  • Open & close payrolls each period
  • Prepare HMRC liability payments Despatch payslips and employee documents
  • Ensure client details are updated when necessary
  • Perform checks on billing & liaise with the Finance Team
  • Provide Reception Services
  • Plan and manage own workload as well as take instruction from the manager
  • Work as part of a team in a fast paced environment
  • Provide high level customer service
  • To work towards your apprenticeship via online monthly classroom teaching sessions and complete the coursework expected of you

The role is due to start in January with interviews being held in December.

Cintra HR & Payroll Services has been established since 1981 but back then we were called Computer House (hence the name on the side of the building!). The company was originally a partnership and remained so until 2009. At this time the partners, Hugh Keegan and John McEvoy, decided to change status and Cintra became a limited company, although still under the ownership of Hugh and John. 

Hugh and John retired in 2001 and our charismatic CEO Carsten Staehr, was appointed in 2001. Carsten was sourced from one of our clients, IMP, based in London. He made a big step moving to the North East to take over the running of Cintra. As you will find out, Carsten is a little off the wall as far as CEOs go but he has taken the company from strength to strength since his arrival and we have enjoyed an average 18% year on year growth since 2002.
 
What we do – very briefly!
As you probably know we produce HR and payroll software which is sold UK wide. We also offer a range of outsourced payroll services. Our outsourcing department process wages for about 50 thousand employees per month and pay approx. 98 thousand employees per month! We have about 800 employers using our software in some form in the UK. We are an extremely healthy business but we are always striving to do better.
