Job Description:

Duties to include:

  • To be responsible for the receipt and checking of all monthly timesheets and mileage sheets, resolving any queries
  • Ability to input data into the payroll system in accordance with HMRC payroll legislation
  • Accurately input information into the payroll system, completing routine and complex calculations relating to pay
  • Deal with queries from staff members and managers relating to payroll issues
  • Provide routine and ad hoc reports in relation to payroll as requested
  • To input invoices into the practice accounting package ready for approval
  • To assist with the preparation of information as requested for the practice accountant
  • To run reports from accounting package as required by the partners of the practice
  • To manage the petty cash system
  • To keep staff record sheets up to date

Required Qualifications

  • Good standard of general education to GCSE level (or equivalent) to include GCSE in English and maths at Grade C/4 or above (preferably 7-9)
  • IT qualification

After successful completion of the Apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to progress with lots of further learning to develop.

Training to be delivered

  • Payroll Administrator level 3
  • Functional Skills maths and English level 2 (if GCSE A-C/9-4 or equivalent not already achieved)

Full induction through and ongoing training/learning and development throughout the Apprenticeship by Performance Network and Smart.
