Job Description:

We are looking for exceptional individuals to join a highly-skilled team of Referencing Administrators

This is an exciting opportunity for those with an interest in Customer Service, perfect for hard-working individuals who are looking to progress in an established and fast-growing business. 

  • Your daily duties will revolve around making and receiving a large volume of telephone calls to obtain references, so the confidence to liaise with a wide variety of people and a good telephone manner is essential
  • As the role will also include processing emails and assessing financial documentation, strong written and numerical skills are also a must
  • Acting on behalf of our clients (letting agents), your role will be to work quickly and diligently to oversee the vetting process for their prospective tenants

Our ideal candidate will have an excellent work-ethnic, a good attitude to Customer Service, be ambitious, have the ability to manage their own workload, demonstrate excellent judgement and treat every case with a high level of confidentiality.

We are looking for people who are committed to going the extra mile to meet the demands of a high workload. It is therefore imperative that you have the ability and drive to work quickly and accurately to achieve a challenging daily target. 

Skills and Requirements:

Desired Skills

Required Qualifications

  • GCSE’s graded A*-D (or equivalent), including maths and English

Future Prospects

Successful completion of the apprenticeship will lead to full time, permanent employment with the company. Salary will be increased in line with the rest of the team at the end of their training. Permanent employment could also lead to future promotion and progression opportunities.

Training to be delivered

  • Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Standard
  • Functional Skills in English and maths
  • Induction and Ongoing Training

A large proportion of what we do is referencing prospective tenants to ensure they are suitable for the property they are applying for. Subsequent to this we offer a range of insurance products to offer protection to both the landlords and the tenants. 
Van Mildert operate out of one office just outside of Killingworth and we currently employ around 80 people. We are extremely proud of our team – they are a lively and sociable group but are also very hard working, offer great customer service and support each other immensely.
