Job Description:

There will also be an opportunity to work cross functionally with the finance department to support with accounts payable and invoicing and credit control activities.  This is a family run business that is growing year on year and there is a fantastic opportunity to become part of our team.  The role with require good communication skills with face to face as well as telephone conversations.  Someone with a can do attitude, an attention to detail and an attitude to learn and develop will be ideal for this role.
The role will involve:
  •  Working within a transport office to assist with the co-ordination of a team that delivers throughout the UK
  • Assisting with ensuring the drivers are on the road as quickly and efficiently as possible (issues are resolved promptly and appropriately)
  • Communicating with customers and drivers in a professional manner to resolve issues with deliveries/delivery timescales, to ensure - customer satisfaction is met and improved
  • Liaising with internal departments to proactively resolve any challenges
  • Updating the system/customer portals;
  • Helping to identify and deliver process improvements that make the operations more efficient;
  • Supporting the finance department with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities;
  • Helping with promoting the company through social media and marketing campaigns;
  • Undertaking other ad hoc projects as required;

Skills and Requirements:

Required Qualifications

  • Have achieved a minimum of Grade C in GCSE (or equivalent) in maths and English

Future Prospects

The role will lead to a full time employment on the completion of satisfactory probationary period and an industry recognised Level 3 Apprenticeship Qualification.
