Job Description:

Duties include:

  • Handling general telephone enquiries & ensuring all messages are noted and passed on appropriately.
  • Answering the patient appointment telephone for all clinic appointments.
  • Arranging a range of health-related appointment bookings for different services by NHS email, post, fax and phone.
  • Generic administrative duties.
  • Typing patient and doctor letters, addressing envelopes and sending faxes.
  • Supporting day-to-day admin requirements of various pre-diabetes, weight forward, gynaecology, minor surgery, cardiology, ENT and phlebotomy (blood testing) clinics, e.g. stock-taking, phoning patients to book in or confirm they are attending their appointment.

You will ideally have GCSEs in English, maths A/9-C/4 and three other subjects and be competent using a PC, Word and Excel. Ideally, you will also have some office work experience.


The post is for a fixed term of 12-18* months on a full-time basis (37.5hrs) working Monday to Friday. (*dependent on course completion)
 
Salary range is dependent on the minimum wage depending on the age of the applicant.
