Job Description:

Within this apprenticeship you will undertake learning and development activities to include:

  • Create and maintain worker records onto the payroll software
  • Collate and sort payroll information prior to processing
  • Process payroll data, manually and via automated process of upload from CRM system
  • Create sales invoices in conjunction with worker timesheets using payroll software
  • Prepare and process weekly bacs payment to workers
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and investigate errors and irregularities
  • Prepare payroll and sales reports for the management team and circulate
  • Highlight data points due to changes in payroll activity
  • Save and assist in sending client invoices
  • Alter tax codes and payroll data via HMRC data provisioning service and pensions provider
  • Send weekly reports to the HMRC and pension provider
  • Maintain compliance and legislation in relation to payroll procedures
  • Process leavers in timely manner and deal with worker queries
  • Assist with processing holiday payments
  • Provide assistance and cover for other roles within accounts department when the need arises
  • Assist senior accounts manager and financial controller in any project work required

  • The ability to work as part of a team within a professional environment
  • Good knowledge of IT packages to include Word & Excel

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will have the opportunity to apply for roles within the organisation which are available. 

Training to be delivered

  • Level 3 Payroll Administrator Standard
  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required

Full training provided through apprenticeship incorporating on and off job training.
