As the government are moving their focus on providing entry opportunities for young people, they have announced a number of Apprenticeships are being defunded, instead, moving their focus on filling industry skill gaps. 🎓✨
What does this mean for employers? 🤔
▪️ A new focus on ‘Foundation Apprenticeships’ to help 16–24 year olds start their careers
▪️ New Apprenticeship offerings, available and supported with Smart Training and Recruitment
▪️ Hiring incentives of up to £2,000 available for taking on young apprentices from late 2026
▪️ Shorter bite-sized ‘Apprenticeship Units’ will be offered for existing employees
