“My experience with the Smart Apprenticeship programme for Payroll Level 3 has been fun, challenging, and eye-opening. Aimee is a wonderful tutor who makes each session engaging. She allows me to learn and process the material in a way that suits my preferred learning style, while also challenging me to apply each topic to my own workplace or for my End Point Assessment.

I have taken part in both cohort workshops and one-to-one sessions. Cohort workshops give me the opportunity to learn from other apprentices’ experiences of payroll within their organisations. One-to-one workshops provide focused support to achieve the Distinction criteria I am aiming towards, which really builds my confidence. I particularly appreciate that each topic is relevant to payroll, as I can discuss what I learned with my managers so they can link my next training session to the topic.

I also appreciate the ease of navigating Onefile, where all my learning is documented for me to reflect on, including submitted assessments. The monthly reminders to submit Off-the-Job hours are particularly helpful, as they encourage me to keep my learning journal up to date with any new learning, whether in the workplace or through independent research. I am confident that I will be fully prepared for my End Point Assessment and can pursue my career within payroll thanks to the structure, support, and ease of use my tutor and the Apprenticeship programme provide.”
