This qualification prepares Apprentices to support organisations in meeting their statutory safeguarding responsibilities. Learners will develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to protect children, young people, and adults at risk, ensuring individuals’ health, wellbeing, and human rights are promoted and upheld. The programme has a strong focus on preventative safeguarding, early intervention, and effective multi-agency working. Learners will gain the confidence to recognise safeguarding concerns, take appropriate initial action, and support high-quality referrals in line with legislation, policy, and best practice. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Any individuals working or aspiring to work in safeguarding support roles across public, private, and voluntary sector organisations, or in the following roles:
Safeguarding Advisor, Safeguarding Assistant or Safeguarding Coordinator.
