MODERN SLAVERY & HUMAN TRAFFICING STATEMENT
Smart Training and Recruitment is an independent training provider based in England, delivering high-quality apprenticeship training services. We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our operations or supply chains. This statement is made in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and outlines the actions we take to prevent and address modern slavery risks.

Policies & Procedures
We have implemented the following policies and practices to support our stance
against modern slavery and human trafficking:
➢ Public Interest Disclosure (Whistleblowing) Policy: Encourages all staff to report concerns about wrongdoing or unethical behaviour without fear of retaliation.
➢ Safeguarding and Prevent Policy: Outlines the standards of behaviour expected from staff and contractors, promoting a safe and respectful environment for all.
➢ Safer Recruitment Policy: Ensures robust checks are carried out to verify that all employees have the legal right to work in the UK.
All team members have access to these policies via our internal system, SmartWorld, and are required to familiarise themselves with them as part of their induction.
Training & Awareness
We provide induction training to all new staff that includes awareness of modern slavery, its indicators, and how to report concerns. Ongoing refresher training ensures that our team remains alert to the risks and signs of exploitation, both within the workplace and in the wider sector.
