Lean Manufacturing Operative (Level 2)

Lay the foundation for efficient manufacturing processes with our Lean Manufacturing Operative Apprenticeship (Level 2). This program equips apprentices with the basic Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques to identify and eliminate waste, streamline operations, and contribute to overall process improvement.

Food & Drink Technical Operator (Level 3)

Perfect for the food and drink industry, our Food & Drink Technical Operator Apprenticeship (Level 3) empowers apprentices to operate, control, and monitor technical processes. This apprenticeship is essential for success in this specialised sector, from maintaining equipment to ensuring product quality and safety.

Improvement Technician and Practitioner (Level 3/4)

Both Improvement Practitioners and Technicians work in identifying and leading the delivery of change across their organisation’s functions and processes, using a blend of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. They can be found in a variety of industries, such as Banking, Engineering, NHS, Pharmaceuticals, Insurance and more. They possess valuable skills in Compliance, Team Leadership, Project Management, and Data Stratification.

CI Apprentices will be taught the Lean Six Sigma methodology. Apprentices are able to apply for the yellow or green belt after completing this Apprenticeship.

Process Leader (Level 4)

This Apprenticeship is for those working within manufacturing processes that undertake and direct production activities and operations and deliver against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Apprentices will learn how to effectively lead and manage teams as well as how to provide technical/specialist input and direction to their team and stakeholders. They will develop the skills to determine and manage budgets and resources, using KPIs as the basis of the continuous improvement cycle and undertake and manage quality resolutions using Lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.

What is an Apprenticeship?

An Apprenticeship offers a way for learners to earn whilst learning, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in a specific job role. It includes workplace learning, formal training and the opportunity to practise new skills in a real work environment. Apprenticeships benefit employers and individuals, boost the workforce’s skills, and improve economic productivity.

Can my current employees enrol onto a Manufacturing Apprenticeship?

Yes! You can enrol your current employees on any of our Manufacturing Apprenticeships. Many companies use our Apprenticeship programmes to upskill their existing employees and include them in their learning and development scheme.

What happens when my employee finishes their qualification?

Once your employee has finished their course, they will receive certificates to certify their course completion. If you want to continue training your employees, you can enrol them on further Manufacturing Apprenticeships at a higher level.

How much do Manufacturing Apprenticeships cost?

This depends on your chosen programme and whether your company pays the Apprenticeship Levy.

If you’re not paying the Apprenticeship Levy, you pay just 5% of the total cost of apprenticeship training – the government co-invests the other 95% for you.

If you are a non-levy paying employer, have less than 50 employees, and the employee/new apprentice enrolling is 16-18, you will receive 100% funding.
