Get involved with National Numeracy Day on 18 May

Adult numeracy is a real issue with around 17m adults in England – half of the working-age population having the numeracy skills of primary school children. Poor numeracy can hold people back from having the confidence to get on in life and into work.

Those who improve their numeracy skills are more likely to be in employment, have higher wages, and have better well-being.

Improving adult numeracy is the key aim of the recently launched Multiply programme. Backed by £270m in England and up to £559m in total across the UK, Multiply will offer adults who do not already have a GCSE grade C/4 or higher in Maths or equivalent and need to improve their numeracy, free flexible courses that fit around their lives. Courses are expected to be available this autumn in person or online, at work or at home, and either on a part-time or intensive basis.

We are proud to be a Numeracy Champion and we will be sharing some free, fun activities and resources with you.
