Apprenticeship Overview:

Adult Care Workers in this apprenticeship make a positive difference in the lives of people faced with physical, practical, social, emotional, or intellectual challenges. They may work in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres, a person’s own home, or some clinical healthcare settings. Working with people and feeling passionate about supporting and enabling them to live a more independent and fulfilling life is a rewarding and worthwhile job that provides excellent career opportunities.

After completing this Apprenticeship, there may be opportunities to gain more responsibility, like becoming a team leader or supervisor, or to specialise in a particular aspect of work, such as an activity coordinator or rehabilitation worker.
