What are Finance Apprenticeships?

Finance Apprenticeships are structured training programmes aimed at developing proficient professionals in financial roles within businesses and organisations. These apprenticeships cover a broad range of responsibilities, including payroll administration, bookkeeping, accounting practices, and other finance-related functions. Apprentices gain hands-on experience while learning about critical financial processes and regulations.

Finance Apprenticeship Programmes Offered

We currently offer courses in Payroll Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is designed for individuals responsible for setting up and operating payroll systems within an organisation or on behalf of another entity. The role may be situated within various business functions such as HR or Finance and can be found in diverse settings like payroll bureaus, accounting firms, and professional services companies.

Finance Apprenticeship Learner Journey

Our specialist tutors provide comprehensive support throughout the 18 months of on-programme learning and 4 months of End Point Assessment (course dependent). This includes monthly virtual classroom lessons and workshops, workplace training, shadowing, mentoring, and online one-to-one support. Additionally, we offer support for functional skills in English and Mathematics to ensure apprentices are fully prepared for their End Point Assessment and confident in their skills.

Career Advancement after completing a Finance Apprenticeship

Upon completion of a Finance Apprenticeship, individuals receive free affiliate-level membership with the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) for two years. This membership can be upgraded to associate level upon successfully completing the apprenticeship. Graduates may pursue further progression opportunities, advancing to more senior positions such as Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager within payroll. Additionally, there are potential career paths in related departments such as HR, Finance, or Pensions, providing a wide range of opportunities for career growth and development.
