What are Management Apprenticeships?
Management Apprenticeships are structured training programmes aimed at developing proficient professionals in leadership and management roles within various organisations. These apprenticeships cover a broad range of responsibilities, from team and project management to strategic planning and change management. Apprentices gain hands-on experience while learning about essential management processes and techniques.
Our Management Apprenticeships include:
Team Leader or Supervisor Level 3: This programme is for individuals managing teams and projects. It focuses on people management skills to develop confident leaders committed to personal and team development. Key learning topics include personal and professional development, building relationships, leading and managing people, decision-making, and project management.
For individuals who oversee teams and projects in alignment with organisational strategy, our Operations or Departmental Manager Level 5 apprenticeship is designed to help managers develop analytical and strategic thinking skills. Key learning topics include strategic planning, operational planning, project management, change management, financial and resource management, and talent management.
Management Apprenticeship Learner Journey
Apprentices receive dedicated support from our team of specialist tutors, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience over the 12-18 months of on-programme learning (course dependent) leading up to their End Point Assessment. This includes monthly virtual classroom lessons, workshops, and tailored 1-2-1 online support. Apprentices also receive training directly in the workplace, benefit from shadowing seasoned professionals, and participate in mentoring programs. Additional support in English and Mathematics is available to fully prepare apprentices for their assessment.
Career advancement after completing a Management Apprenticeship
After finishing a Management Apprenticeship, apprentices have the option to become Associate Members with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and/or the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) to aid in their professional career development. Those who have completed the Team Leader or Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship can advance to the Operations/Departmental Manager Level 5 Apprenticeship. Completion of the Level 5 Apprenticeship allows individuals to become full members of CMI or ILM. After gaining three years of management experience, they can apply for Chartered Manager status through CMI. Additionally, there are further learning opportunities through the Senior Leader Level 7 Apprenticeship.
