Digital Apprenticeship Service

The Digital Apprenticeship Service, also known as DAS or AS, is the online platform run by the government where employers can oversee their current and past Apprenticeship programs. Smart are here to assist your every step in navigating this mandatory platform! We have our own “service desk” run by knowledgeable and responsive team members who are here to help you with everything you need, from getting set up to maintaining your account!

Levy Paying Employers

Your DAS Account is where your monthly Levy-allowance gets directly paid into. This account allows larger employers to connect with training providers for Apprenticeship training.

Within your account you can:

  • Utilise your digital funds on “Apprenticeship Standard” training, up to the funding band maximum for each Standard.
  • Check your spending allowance and track monthly debits
  • Connect with an approved training provider– you will need our UKPRN to connect to us (10005927)
  • Allow Smart to advertise your Apprenticeship vacancies on your behalf.
  • Allow Smart administration rights on your account – we will upload all of your Apprenticeship data – you will simply just need to “approve” new enrolments and we can show you how this works!

Non-Levy Paying Employers

The Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) is now mandated for all smaller employers who are not in scope for the Apprenticeship Levy.

Like larger employers, SMEs who don’t pay into the Apprenticeship Levy will now have complete control over apprenticeships in their business.

Within your account you can:

  • Manage the Apprenticeship process directly, from advertising your vacancies to agreeing a suitable “Apprenticeship Standard” for candidates.
  • Connect with an approved training provider– you will need our UKPRN to connect to us (10005927)
  • Allow Smart to advertise your Apprenticeship vacancies on your behalf.
  • Allow Smart to have administration rights on your account – we will upload all of your Apprenticeship data – you will simply just need to “approve” new enrolments and we can show you how this works!
